Fespa 2010
From June 22 - 26, 2010, the FESPA 2010 exhibition in Munich was the meeting place for ca. 700 exhibitors and more than 20,000 visitors from all over the world.
FESPA is considered the leading fair for the sector of wide format digital printing.
Following an invitation by Epson Europe, Bamberger Kaliko were pleased to show how digitally printed fabrics could be used as roller blinds, panel tracks or vertical blinds.
The fabrics Premium CA solvent and Premium CA waterbased - both also available with a flame-retardant coating classified DIN 4102 B1 – will give best results with almost all available printing systems. This opens up interesting options for the market, as it allows to carry out very individual single prints as well as small series (Corporate Design).
Other Bamberger Kaliko fabrics also found much acclaim among the trade visitors:
Art Canvas CA solvent and waterbased, e.g., allow excellent art reproduction prints.
The fabric ranges Green Banner solvent / waterbased and Premium solvent / waterbased can be used as sunshades as well as for pop-up and roll-up screens.
All Bamberger Kaliko media shown at the FESPA exhibition are “CA Color-Alliance certified”. Color-Alliance is an international cooperation of leading producers of RIP- and printing textiles with the aims of simplifying production processes and of increasing productivity and process stability in all production stages for wide format printing.

Change of core diametre
In order to meet international requirements we have decided to roll our bookbinding materials in the future on cores with an inner diametre of 76 mm (3") instead of 36 mm (1.41"), the core diametre we have been using for most of our items. By Switching to this new core size we will also reduce the tendency for curling and improve the flatness of our products.
